There are twenty two miles of beach on the South side of Hilton Head Island. They are all open to the public although the access is limited. What this means is if you take your bicycle down to the beach (you must walk it to the waterline) you can ride it on all beaches.

Our resort offers two locations for beach access to all people who stay in the resort. It is at the Dunes House (which also has a bar and serves a pretty good lunch). There is limited parking although I have never had an issue during the fall and the spring when I was on the Island. In the summer months they will fill up quickly. But there is transportation offered by the resort by means of the Dunes Buggy. You can call and preschedule or just call and tell them you need a ride. There is also Resort access at the Disney Beach House. You are only allowed to park on the Left side of the parking lot as you enter. Check the sign as you enter for this could change over time.

You can ride your bike on the beach at Hilton Head. You need to walk it to the water line (the sand is to soft in the dunes to ride) but you can ride the beach along the whole island. There are numerous beach side restaurants all along the beach in different plantations which might be a fun way to explore the area. the different restaurants.
